This book is not "for the masses"! As a retired RN with 45 years experience in major teaching hospital centers I was deeply interested in finding answers to some of todays problems with healthcare. One of my questions was why Dr. Klasko would have been allowed to spend in excess of $10 million dollars to change the name of a train station stop from 11th & Market to "Jefferson Station".(as in Thomas Jefferson Hospital) I was looking for a philosophy that would justify that decision. Totally disappointed!. Many doctors have MBAs today, but certainly not the majority. This book is drowning in MBA-speak, as it takes us to year 2025 and gives us a depressing view of a hyper- computerized, tone deaf view of the "improvemnts via system changes" made by 2025.. The authors must be sci-fi geeks as I was bored to death with imaginary prophets of the new healthcare agenda, interspersed with lyrics from rock music legends. What a disappointment!Product details

Terrific book. Klasko is a visionary and a rock star
Horrible book. Not only did this charlatan waste $10 million renaming Market East Station as Jefferson (which is actually much closer to South Street), my GP at Jefferson swindled me for $1500 in related additional lab work for what was supposed to be a $25 GP co-pay for a basic Hep C test. If I didn't have good PPO health insurance through my employer suggesting Jefferson as a $25 co-pay for a doctor, I could have shopped around and went to Quest for a small price. Now I'm in collections for nearly a grand since I was not prepared for the enormous bill and it's too hard to dispute and fight. Thanks for fixing healthcare in America Steve! At least Larry Ellison doesn't pretend to care about people under the guise of a non profit.

This is an amazing book by some great authors. A must read for anyone in healthcare and healthcare education. Apart from delivering very relevant and timely insights and guidance for our time, the authors also do this in an entertaining and engaging way.
The book hits the real issues. Time to make the moves on healthcare and the book is the guide
